The rich tropical aromas of the Yucatan Peninsula inspired Nicolas Malleville to create Coqui Coqui. Based in the Spanish colonial town of Valladolid, Mexico, the perfumery draws upon the traditions and storied history of the region—from Mayan natives to Franciscan monks to modern white-sand beaches—to develop scents such as its best-selling Tabaco. This unisex eau de cologne looks back to Malleville’s childhood in Argentina, combining the fragrance of freshly picked tobacco leaves with tart, juicy citrus notes.
