Dessert plate handmade from oak and cut from one single piece of wood in a free-form turning, meaning each bowl is different from the next. The wood in the BCM&T Co. blackline collection utilizes a natural reactive process to give it its distinctive dark finish. No pigments are used to create the black color. This unique technique makes use of the tannic acid inherent in white oak to develop a deep, durable, food-safe dye.
Dimensions: 9.5" 1.5"
1) Clean: Use hot water and soap in the sink, and steer clear of any bleach or ammonia. To get out aromatic scents like garlic, use a vinegar wash combined with soap and water.
**The finish on the blackline products is resilient, however, it should be noted that highly acidic foods and tart berries may affect the finish if left to sit for extended periods of time.
